Our approach
The club grew out of an Orthodox parish, and it is open to everyone, whatever their faith or none. Our special events are not evangelism. Proselytizing is not the Orthodox way, and nobody who works our station will be asked to believe anything.
What we offer instead is an introduction to a remarkable person, a twentieth-century soldier and radio operator whose counsel reached people of every background, and a reason for operators across countries, languages, and traditions to meet on the air. Building those bridges is the point.
Officers
The club is managed by a board of officers elected by its six charter members.
Joining the club
Who can join
Anyone with an interest in amateur radio is welcome. You don't need a license to be a member, though only licensed operators may transmit from the club station.
There are no dues. Voluntary contributions help with QSL postage and station equipment.
Licensing and the club call sign
Our club station license application is in progress. The club call sign will be posted here once it is granted.
Studying for your Technician license? Members are glad to help, and so are we if you are a monastic who would like to get on the air. Write to info@paisiosroc.org.
